Kay Crinean is a Past President of Maritime Tidal Energy Corp (MTEC). She served as President between 2011 – 2014. During that time she has contributed to the development and evolution of tidal energy in Nova Scotia through active participation in government-industry consultations, collaborative workshops and conferences. She has been project manager and lead consultant in several marine renewable energy infrastructure assessment projects and is co-chair of the Socio-Economic Sub-Committee of the Fundy Energy Research Network.  She has many years of experience as a senior level executive and project manager in business, government and the not-for-profit sector, and has initiated and led successful multi-stakeholder projects and organizations in Canada and abroad. She was a founder and the first Executive Director of Novaknowledge, a multi-stakeholder organization focused on researching leading edge economic trends and opportunities, fostering dialogue and influencing policy and thinking in government, business and education in Nova Scotia. In the UK she was the founder and director of a successful five-year national industry program to improve software engineering and quality. As a consultant her primary focus is on projects that combine economic and environmental sustainability. Kay is a Principal Consultant with MTEC.

Ronald Scott is a founder, former President, and a current Director of Maritime Tidal Energy Corp (MTEC). He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a minor in Law. A career in the Information Technology Industry in senior marketing and general management positions with IBM, Unisys and DMR Consulting culminated with his appointment as President of ITI Education Ltd. Since completing this assignment Ron has focused most of his attention on providing leadership for Maritime Tidal Energy Corporation. Ron is a Principal Consultant with MTEC.

Paul Kent, BSc., ISP, FCIPS, CMC is a successful senior executive, with a national profile, known for dynamic leadership and coaching abilities as well as a proven ability to think and act strategically. Thirty years of experience in the Information Technology and Communications industries with most recent position as Senior Vice-President, Bell Aliant & Chief Operating Officer, Xwave with full profit/loss accountability for Xwave, an IT Services division of Bell Aliant, as well as executive leadership and oversight for the Enterprise Sales & Marketing function of Bell Aliant. Paul is currently President and CEO of the Greater Halifax Partnership.

Bruce McCulloch, P.Eng. MBA has long had a passion for energy efficiency. During his eight years as Plant Engineering Manager with IMP Aerospace, he spearheaded numerous energy saving projects. At the same time he developed a comprehensive preventative maintenance program that successfully reduced downtime on a wide variety of plant equipment. Prior to that, Bruce was a designer and then Production Manager for an industrial fan manufacturer, working on fans as large as a two story house. Bruce has been active in the Parrsboro community for over a dozen years during which he has watched the powerful Fundy tides from the windows of his home with fascination. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Waterloo.

John Snow, PEng, FCMC – John’s primary focus is to help define and plan major business transformation initiatives. Typical engagements involve strategic planning, advisory services, business case development, group facilitation, project governance and solution procurement.

Robert Cervelli received his education from the Universities of Wisconsin, Washington and Purdue. His career to date has been in senior leadership positions with a number of companies in the Life Sciences Sector. He is currently the Executive Director at Neurodyn Inc.

Scott Travers is President of DSquared Consulting, a company which provides sustainability, environmental and renewable energy leadership. He is a Past President and COO of Minas Pulp and Power and Past President and Vice-Chairman of Newton Falls Fine Paper Company.
